英汉翻译：常见词英语巧译

 “爱好,喜欢,偏爱,宠爱,爱上了”等有如下译法：

(1) 译为enjoy,常与动名词、名词、代词连用。例如：

他喜欢做游戏。

He enjoys playing games.

(2)译为 take great enjoyment in。例如：

他极喜欢狩猎。

He takes great enjoyment in hunting.

(3) 译为like,常与动名词、不定式、名词等连用，例如：

她妹妹喜欢吃零食。 Her younger sister likes taking (to

ake) snacks between meals // Her younger sister likes nibbling (to libble) between meals.

你喜欢怎么做就怎么做。Do as you like (please) (choose).

(4 )译为liker.例如,

他是一个真正喜爱欧洲大陆的人。He is one of the true ikers of the Continent.

(5) 译为 have a liking for.例如:

我更爱好法律。 1 have a greater liking for law.

(6) 译为 take a liking to (或 for)。例如：

我一看到这部车子就喜欢上了.I took a liking to this car the minute (the second) (the moment) I saw it.

(7) 译为to Sb’s liking,指“合某人的意思（胃口）”。例如： 他办事情的方式我根本不喜欢》 His way of doing things is

not at all to my liking.

(8) 译为prefer,指比较喜欢(like better),后接介词to,注意to前后词类相同.例如：

我宁愿站希而不愿坐着。I prefer standing to sitting.

他说他喜欢水不喜欢牛奶.He says that he prefers water to milk.

prefer后接不定式时可与rather than连用•例如：

刘胡兰在敌人面前宁死不屈。Liu Hu-lan preferred to die rather than give in (surrender).

(9) 译为 in prcfcrcncc to, to 为介词，例如：

我宁愿选择这个而不要其他的。 I should choost this in preference to any other.

(10) 译为 have a prcfcrcncc for。例如：

我们爱看文学书籍。 Wc have a prcfcrcncc for books on literature.
